The Ossona plateau

Set among the authentic hamlets of the municipality of Saint-Martin, the Ossona plateau is its crown jewel. Nestled on the Ossona plateau, surrounded by nature, among goats and dairy cows, whether for a short visit or a longer stay, come and discover this hamlet. In order to breathe new life into these lands, which had been abandoned for nearly 40 years, the hamlet of Ossona has been restored. The result of an exemplary partnership between the municipality of Saint Martin, the canton of Valais, the Swiss Confederation, and agritourism operators, we invite you to come and discover the outcome of this battle of the heart and mind, carried out with respect for the incredible heritage left to us by our ancestors.

Ossona is located in the heart of a magnificent network of walking trails. On request, you can choose from a range of one-off activities organized in collaboration with wildlife specialists. Other leisure activities are also available, including a treasure hunt for children and a playground (with slides, swings, etc.).

The Ossona Inn
Located near the lodgings and open to all, from April to October, at lunchtime and in the evening (reservation required), it offers a small menu and, on request, country-style and local dishes made mainly with farm and regional products.

Opening hours

The Inn is open starting May 1st from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

In May : Closed Monday and Tuesday. Special opening on Monday May 25th.

June to August : Open everyday.

from September 1st to October 11th : Closed Monday and Tuesday. Special opening on Monday September 21st.

From the 12th to the 25th of September : Open everyday.
