Maurice Zermatten Challenge

Take on the Maurice Zermatten Challenge and try to win an overnight stay for two people with breakfast at the Becs de Bosson Mountain Hut!

From July 1 to August 31, set off on one of Saint-Martin's most iconic routes. The Maurice Zermatten educational trail links Combioula to the Becs de Bosson Mountain Hut through an incredible variety of landscapes, including rural heritage sites, forests, alpine pastures and high mountains.

Covering 15.4 km with 2,371 metres of positive elevation gain, this very demanding route reaches nearly 3,000 metres above sea level. A true sporting adventure that will introduce you to the region's natural treasures as well as the world of Maurice Zermatten, a Valais writer from Suen, deeply inspired by his homeland and its traditions.

How to participate?

1. Download the Outdoor Experience Val d'Hérens app

2. Select the Maurice Zermatten Challenge

3. Go to the trailhead in Combioula

4. Press "Go" to start the timer

5. Reach the Becs de Bosson Mountain Hut

6. Your time is automatically recorded thanks to your phone's GPS

Prize: an overnight stay for 2 people with breakfast at the Becs de Bosson Mountain Hut will be awarded to the person who achieves the best time at the end of the challenge.
