Le vallon de Réchy
This unspoiled valley, hidden between the Val d'Hérens and the Val d'Anniviers, has inspired many writers. The stream flows freely, unimpeded by any architectural obstacles. The summit of Bec de Bosson overlooks the valley and its four surrounding villages of Nax, Saint-Martin, Vercorin, and Grimentz.
The Réchy valley is a protected site of high-altitude marshes and alpine meadows located between the Val d'Hérens and the Val d'Anniviers.
To preserve its ecosystems, there are a few rules that must be strictly observed.
- No fires are allowed in the valley.
- No camping or bivouacking is allowed.
- No cycling is allowed; entering this protected area by bike, whether riding, pushing, or carrying the bike, is prohibited.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
- Picking plants and flowers is prohibited.
We recommend accessing the Réchy valley via the Col de Cou, the Pas de Loveignoz, or the Becs de Bosson hut.
