Climbing - Evolène

The Evolène region is home to a number of sport climbing areas, mostly pinnacles with a few long routes.

• FALAISE DU PONT

Beautiful gneiss cliff, easy to access, close to the cantonal road. The foot of the routes is welcoming, with a wooden table and a fireplace.
Around 50 routes from 5c to 8b. Varied climbing, slabs, cracks, overhangs and dihedrals.

• ALPINODROME 

Small, ten-meter-high boulder, ideal for beginners.
Around 10 routes, from 4a to 6c.

• PILIER ALBERT 

Pillar overlooking the village of Evolène. Long route (120m)

• LE PITON

A small cliff overlooking the village of Evolène, with breathtaking views. A huge piton has been erected here in memory of the local guides who died in the mountains.

• VIA-FERRATA D'EVOLENE 

A beautiful via-ferrata, with some fairly athletic sections and some nice crossings. A ladder and metal net enhance the climbing experience.

• SANIERES SECTOR

Recently refurbished crag above the village of Les Haudères. 33 routes from 6b to 8b.
