Climbing - Arolla

Arolla has many sectors, all between 1800m and 2600m altitude. Two of these are moulinettes, while all the others are long routes of up to 300m. 

• ROCHER DE SAINT-BARTHELEMY 

Large roadside boulder, ideal for a family or group afternoon. Welcoming foot of routes with table and fireplace.
6 routes from 3c to 6a+. 

• PRAGRACHET 

Pragrachèt is a beautiful gneiss cliff ideal for families thanks to its easy access and welcoming foot of the routes. A table and 2 "relais-écoles" await you on the right-hand side of the cliff.

• CABANE LA TSA | LE CHEMIN DES ECOLIERS

A pretty little 3-pitch, 25-30m route close to the access path to the cabane de la Tsa (chemin de Pramousse). It's a good way to test yourself before climbing the Tsalion ridge, or to liven up a stay at the hut.

• PILIER DE FOLLIECHES

This tooth emerges from the Follièches forest and offers a fine climb. 1 route of 3 pitches, max difficulty 5b.

• MAYA D'AROLLA

Beautiful pillar inviting climbing. 8 long routes ranging from 5b to 6b, fully re-equipped, are proposed in this magnificent alpine sector.

• DOUVES ROUSSES

Beautiful 300m-high cliff facing Mont Collon. 5 routes from 5c to 6b between 2300m and 2600m altitude. Cool weather guaranteed all summer long.

• SERRE DE VUIBE

A beautiful foothill offers two well-equipped routes of moderate difficulty (5b-5c).

• LADY L.

A short, long route for beginners (5c), this sector will be developed further in the coming years.

• COUENNE SECTOR

A new cliff under development (2023). 13 routes of difficulty 6b to 8a.
